Product Specification

The fly-eye lens is placed inside the machine for use in the light path system and is an important part of the reflective equipment. It is also a very useful optical element in the lighting system, which can be used to generate a uniform irradiance distribution. The fly-eye lens is an integrated arrangement of multiple small lenses, and the two fly-eye arrays are arranged in parallel so that the transmitted light is evenly distributed. The key to achieving uniform illumination using a double-row fly-eye lens array is to improve its uniformity and illumination brightness.

How does a fly-eye lens achieve uniform illumination?

If we want to see a moving or still picture through the projector, we need the picture to be evenly illuminated and presented on the screen. Therefore, in order to achieve uniform illumination, the spatial light modulator needs to be uniformly illuminated. Normally, the illuminance distribution of the light source is Gaussian, so it is not possible to illuminate the spatial light modulator directly and uniformly. We have to "De-Gaussianize" the illuminance distribution and change it to a uniform distribution.

The fly-eye lens arrays usually occur in pairs and work together with the spotting mirrors to provide a uniform distribution of the illumination plane. The focal point of each small unit lens in the first fly-eye lens array coincides with the center of the corresponding small unit lens in the second fly-eye lens array, and the optical axes of the two fly-eye lenses are parallel to each other, and the spotting mirror is placed after the second fly-eye lens, and the focal plane of the spotting mirror is placed on the illumination screen to form a uniform illumination system.
