Silicone Valves Manufacturing

Silicone valves are an integral part of various industries, playing a crucial role in controlling the flow of fluids and gases. These valves are widely used in applications that require high performance, durability, and resistance to extreme temperatures and harsh conditions. In this article, we will explore the manufacturing process of silicone valves.

The manufacturing of silicone valves involves a series of intricate steps to ensure their quality and functionality. The process begins with the selection of high-quality silicone materials that possess the desired properties. Silicone is a versatile material known for its excellent flexibility, heat resistance, and environment friendly, making it an ideal choice for valve applications.

Once the silicone material is selected, it is carefully molded into the desired valve shape using various techniques such as LSR injection molding or compression molding. LSR Injection molding involves injecting the silicone material into feeding system to mixed automatically, then injected into the mold under high pressure, while compression molding uses a pre-mixed silicone sheet that is compressed between two heated molds.

Regarding the difference between silicone valves processed by compression molding and liquid injection molding, there is no difference in the finished product if the mold tolerance and material level are the same. For large volumes, we recommend liquid injection molding, while for small volumes, compression molding is more suitable. Our flexible production capabilities allow us to adjust accordingly based on customer requirements.

After the valves are molded, they undergo a curing process to strengthen their structure and enhance their performance. This process involves subjecting the valves to heat and pressure for a specific duration, allowing the silicone material to crosslink and form a solid and resilient structure. The curing process also helps in achieving the desired hardness and flexibility of the valves.

After post curing, the next step is slit punching, with our self-developed automatic punching equipment, both the slit and shape can be done at the same machine, also the slit will be 100% inspected during the process of punching. We offer various slit cuts for silicone valves, including cross slit, snowflake, asterisk, I shape, and Y shape. We also welcome custom slit cuts to meet specific needs.

After that, they undergo rigorous quality control checks to ensure that they meet the required specifications. These checks involve inspecting the valves for any defects or imperfections, such as air bubbles, uneven surfaces, or incorrect dimensions. Only the valves that pass these quality control checks are deemed fit for use in various industries.

The manufacturing of silicone valves involves a meticulous process to ensure their quality and performance. These valves find applications in various industries due to their durability, flexibility, resistance to extreme conditions, and excellent sealing properties. Whether it is in medical devices, automotive systems, or food processing equipment, silicone valves play a vital role in ensuring efficient fluid control and maintaining the integrity of industrial processes.

We take pride in our advantages in manufacturing silicone valves. From mold design and making to prototype tooling, production mold, liquid injection molding, plastic injection molding, and finished product assembly, we offer a one-stop solution for our customers.
