LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber) Injection Molding offers better precision, no secondary trimming, and is suitable for high-volume production.
Compression Molding is more cost-effective for smaller batches but may require additional processing to remove flashes.
Our engineering team carefully evaluated the project requirements—precision, part geometry, and production volume—to decide the most appropriate molding process for each case.
Since silicone balloons are inserted into sensitive areas such as the pelvic cavity, the surface quality is critical. We had to solve the issue of parting lines and flashing from molds. Even minor imperfections can cause discomfort during use.
By optimizing mold design, adjusting clamping force, and applying post-processing techniques, we ensured ultra-smooth finishes that meet medical standards for internal-use components.
The larger the balloon size, the more challenging it is to maintain perfect centering and wall thickness uniformity. If the silicone balloon is off-center, it may inflate unevenly, affecting performance and safety.
YEJIA's experienced mold engineers introduced precision mold cavity balancing and custom pressure control during molding to solve eccentricity and achieve uniform inflation results.
One of the strictest requirements was ensuring that the silicone balloon inflates to a precise diameter or volume when pressure is applied. We developed custom inflation testing protocols to validate the product's expansion behavior and compliance with the customer's requirements.
